WHAT BETTER HOLIDAY GIFT FOR THAT SPECIAL ARTIST IN YOUR LIFE THAN A WORKSHOP WITH THE CENTRAL VALLEY PROJECT?

With the recent surge in interest in analogue photography, especially Wet-Plate Collodion, workshops pop up faster than new cafes in Neukoelln (sorry for that reference for those outside of Berlin). Or as Mark Osterman, one of the recognized pioneers of the "alternative" photography revival, so eloquently noted - You can't swing a dead cat now without hitting a Wet-Plate Collodion instructor.

If you're looking for more than just the basics in such techniques as Wet-Plate Collodion, or Albumen, Salted Paper, or Cyanotype Printing, sign up (or purchase a giftcard) for one of our group or private workshops. With over 16 years experience teaching these techniques through numerous schools, institutions, and private workshops in the U.S. and Europe (i.e. Photographers Formulary, and PhotoWerkBerlin to name a few), you'll learn not only the chemistry, craft, and methods behind the techniques, but also modifying modern equipment for use, and most importantly, especially with Wet-Plate Collodion, troubleshooting and working with both natural and artificial light.

Already familiar with the Wet-Plate Collodion technique? We also offer advanced Collodion Workshops focusing on glass negatives (redevelopment and intensification), Opaltypes and Orotones, hand tinting and burnishing, and working "in the field" away from a studio darkroom. Workshops can also be structured for personal interests.

See our website (www.centralvalleyproject.com) or facebook page (www.facebook.com/centralvalleyprojectphotographicstudio) for more in-depth information, see images from past workshops, and to read reviews. Contact us for more information or to schedule or gift a Workshop.
