Thanks Rado, that was the only source I know too. I wanted something to print out, so much easier to read than online. I may PDF it myself.

Thanks Tom.

I made one too - a helluva lot of work! I also have Lea's book in PDF. I'll upload it (if I can remember).

That should complete all of the "big ones" - they are all available now PDF!

Tom, you're a star, thanks for your hard work, it's much appreciated.

Quinn, I would be interested in Lea's tome.

Cheers

John.

my pleasure guys! Enjoy it!

I'm sure you're aware, but if not, you can also find a number of interesting historical texts on Google Books. I recently downloaded these two:

A manual of photographic chemistry, including the practice of the collodion ...

by Thomas Frederick Hardwich - 1883

and

A treatise on the positive collodion process

by Thomas Sutton -  1857

Pages 30 and 31 are missing.

Or is it just me? Maybe I need to update my acrobat reader.

yes, I have page 30 and 31 missing too. I get an error code when I try to view them - "there was an error trying to read this document (111)". Any chance you could reinsert those two pages Tom?

weird... must have been an error generating that first PDF. Thanks for the heads up guys (I had been using it locally as a word doc!) I uploaded a new 'complete' version at the same location:
