Pics Added Below

Im needing to have a roll call of those coming down.

I need to know how many to plan for so that the following can be arranged:

Porta-Potties
Food
Tents (for shooting under if it rains, shade if its hot, etc)
Models (I dont want to get a bunch of folks here to just sit around and be bored)

I would also like to know what you guys would like to do while here. I know shoot plates....but anything else?

My ideas:

Friday:

Arrival
Hang out.
maybe get some darkrooms set up.
Eat
Talk
Shoot some if you get there early enough

Saturday:

Eat breakfast
Shoot plates
skip lunch (not really)
Shoot more plates

Sat Night:
Any ideas for discussion? Maybe making lens caps, mixing chem shortcuts, etc
Show of recent work?

Sunday:

Eat breakfast
Shoot some plates
breakdown for those leaving
shoot more plates

Folks are welcome to stay as through Monday if you want. Im taking Friday and Monday off so Ill be home.

I do need to know who is coming, so please contact me via email to let me know:
chris(at)creativeexposureinc.com

See you in a bit!

Well, the Jamboree is over....and Im tired.

We had a few folks come over for a day of shooting: Tim Telkamp, Bobby Cooper, and Harry (Fly) Taylor.

It rained most of the morning...at times clearing up long enough to set up a shot, get a plate ready....then the rain would fall as the shot was taken....then everything went back under the tent.

After lunch the skies cleared and the shooting really got underway. We had a goth girl that stuck with us through the rain. I felt like I got some really nice shots. We had a bride show up about 5 or so....but the light was quickly dieing so we were limited on shots taken. Harry did get a "Oh Lord, thats beautiful" from the mom. It was a nice 3/4 profile shot....very lovely shot indeed!

We shot till about 6pm....when the skies turned too red for good shooting.

We all got some good shots I think. We also had some troubleshooting and got to see some nice fabrication work from Tim (thanks for the plexiglass tips Tim).

Everyone headed home Sat evening except for Harry. Sunday morning Harry and I headed down the road to the empty grainery. Harry summed it up as it looks like an abandoned movie set. There we met the bride from Satuday afternoon. We shot her for about an hour, getting some good shots to add to our portfolios. All in all it was a nice morning of shooting.

Harry also found an old sleeper cab from a transfer truck in the back of the lot that would make a nice darkroom....Im gonna see if it could be had for free....

I know....if you dont have pics...it didnt happen....so pics will be added later tonight.

You all have a good week!

Couple of bridal shots from Sunday morning.  These were some quick scans, just for proofing.  My scanner has condensation under the glass that I cant get too.....so Im off (online) to find another scanner.....

The bride arrived about 11 am and we finished about 12:15.  I shot these plus 3....Harry shot a good handfull of nice shots.

The bride is a redhead....with light skin...when she left she was a bit pink...you can see it in the plates as well.

Enjoy!

Comments welcomed.

Nice shots...wish I could have been there!
Anyone have any "candid" shots of individuals setup/shooting? I'm always interested in that stuff as well....

Thanks,
Greg

Here are some digi pics:

Kevin (models husband), Tim Telkamp's back, Harry (Fly), and Jason (guy with the padlocked ear) looking at something..

Bobby Cooper and daughter Emily discussing a shot....or how to get her hair out of the vines without her screaming... :)

Bobby Cooper with  camera...notice the lens cap made from a PVC plumbing cap.

Tim Telkamp sporting the monorail.  Tim is an excellent craftman by the way.

Tim's truck with supplies.  Would make a nice darkroom!

Amber, the model, with Tim's monorail camera in from....Bobby's in the back.

Thats about all I shot....just some snaps.  I was enjoying the change to shoot some plates.

I know Tim and Bobby's daughter took some digi shots.  Hopefully they will pop up soon.

Great job, guys! Wish I could have been there to 'see' everyone at work. Chris...thanks for posting these behind-the-scene shots. Really enjoyed viewing them along with your work.

Maybe you can organize another get-together for the Spring? Again thanks for coordinating this gathering. Bobby and Em really enjoyed it. And (belated) congrats on the new arrival!!  Thumbs Up

Hey Chris, thanks for posting. Here are our digital shots -- Emily did most of them:

Tim exiting stage left, Harry('s foot), Chris on reflector.

Emily contemplating life? ...or the next shot?

Goth among the vines...

Harry with Amber

Chris found his calling with the reflector.

Amber being a willing (and very patient) subject.

Goth in the vines
...still

Tim examining some work. Emily looking for the escape route.

Bobby, I like them both, but the second one best.  Usually I don't care for "dark", but this one has nice lighting and is very pictorialist.
