Not sure if others have seen these yet, but some great photos from John Coffers Wetplate Jamboree (last July) have been posted on his site: "2006 Jamboree Photos"

Definitely worth checking out ...especially the shots of John with his "mammoth plates"
(20"x24" negative and tintype)...

If I wasn't there myself I'd almost believe that it was a weekend of beautiful weather (other than weather it was an awesome event though).

Well David Prifti's photos showed a bit more of the mud and rain that was characteristic of the weather.  It was a great time and fantastic experience nonetheless.  Lots of great folks there.

I've forgotten the name of the gent in the first photo.  Can anyone ID him for me?  Thanks.

I am a newby that would like to learn as many past processes of photography that I can so that I can teach my college students the real meaning of the History of Photography.

I retired from teaching art in the public schools, after 35 yrs and I found that with teaching in my blood, I want to share these exciting photographic moments with a new group of kids till I drop over of breathing too much chemistry.

I bought Quinns book and am patiently waiting for the stage coach.  Do any of you out there know of any workshops that are going on...group or one on ones, that I can hook up with?  I live in Hollidaysburg, (central PA) and there is nobody I know doing these processes in my area.  Waiting to hear good news, Jack
