I have been conversing with Ty G about the possibility of using a half plate sliding box camera but haven't priced that out as yet......I don't know, do you think around $500 I would find something decent and fast or am I being to frugal......I do want to start small but work my way up to full plate eventually.

Just recently got my book via Amazon, good stuff!  Curious, there are a number of videos referenced throughout and I'm wondering where these can be found?  Probably an obvious answer that I've missed. . .
Thanks!

lacunha, quinn has a lot of videos out there in the ether. there are a few that are only accessible if you took his workshop. but he has others on youtube that are basic demonstrations & a recent short series he started covering various aspects of wet plate.

just look him up on youtube or click the link below.

I purchased both books but see that there is a 2nd editon out. What is the difference. Are there any corrections/errata that I should be aware of?

Just had my sister order the book from the U.S. for me and ship it to Canada, apparently it's a pain to buy it in Canada with out buying some crazy expensive copy from Europe? Now I noticed the newest iBook had all the videos :( I don't want to buy it twice lol

Thanks for the support. The positive book is only one portion. The iBook is both books and entire video workshop.

I recommend people stay with positives for a while. Maybe a year or two, and then look at making negatives and prints. You'll have your hands full with the first book.

I have the question for the admin.
I bought the book and have been reading.
"The chapter 5 Making chemistry" about Silver bath.
"Step 1: a" and nothing then "Step 2:b"...
Look at the image attached.
I don't understand  what have to be after words "Step1: a".
Thanks

That is strange - the iBook was not published like that. Here's the original:

Thank you.
It's from Kindle.
If you look attentively at the last paragraph of "Step 2" you'll see there the lost text.

Dear Quinn!
I'm so sorry. I've found one more inaccuracy in the text of your book (the Kindle edition). You wrote me that the iBook edition don't have any mistakes, unfortunatly this book is not available in iTunes for the Russians (((((.
That inaccuracy is in Chapter 5, Making Chemistry, Positive developer. I think there is a lost text after the word "Most" in the first fragment. It's a first question. And I don't know is it wrong or right that the text of the Step 3 of both recipes of Developer is the same.
See the attached pictures.
