Anyone have recommendations for what to bring to the jamboree next week? Is there a town nearby that has basics of food/fuel/alcoholic beverages?

I'm leaving Saturday to gradually work our way up there. I'm bringing a camper on the pickup and my cargo trailer that I've converted into a mobile darkroom. I'm bringing 30 gallons of water in the camper's tank, so I'm sure I'll have some to share.

Anyone bringing a musical instrument? Seems like a campfire jam would be nice.

Are there any other attractions nearby, such as a good winery?

Bring John a bottle of 190 grain alcohol...always a nice thing to bring as he can't get 190 in NY.

From my experience last year, it seems to be pretty muddy around the time of year, so bring a rain coat, and some rubber boots to walk thru the slop in.

Town is pretty close, and there is a small grocery store for the necessities.

You're gonna be in the heart of wine country, so there are wineries all over the place.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it out there this year...got a wedding to go to. :(

Have fun!

Bruce,

Hi...I look forward to meeting you at the Jamboree. I'll be up there Weds. night (camping in a tent and bringing my portable darkroom). As Joboo said, there is a town less than 10 minutes away where you can pick up most anything you might need. Definitely be prepared for wet and mud (muck boots, poncho, etc). I'm hoping for a dryer Jamboree this year but you never know (don't see how it could get any wetter than last year). If you play an instrument I'd say definitely bring it along. No one had one last year, but it certainly would be great to have some music at night around the campfire. Any other specific questions just PM me and I'd be happy to answer...

See you there,
Greg

Would someone be willing to video tape the Jamboree?

I may need some collodion, and I hope to buy some KCN. Will Mike Jacobson be bringing any chemicals?

I just got back from John's. The jamboree t-shirts just arrived the day I
was leaving so make sure to grab one. As for chemicals Bruce, I think
there will be a drum of KCN there so you should be all set on that. I'm not
sure If Mike will be there for the jamboree but I know he was going to be
dropping a lot of stuff off before hand. I just wish I could return for a
couple of days but I have a bunch of platinum work to catch up on. I will
definitely be there next year. John is forking out big bucks to have the hot
air balloon there so there will be opportunities for aerial shots for those
who can help out with the costs. It should be a great time. The weather
has been beautiful.
