Hi Quinn,
thank you for this awesome collodion workshop in vienna last weekend!
We all learned really a lot, you`re a great teacher of this process.
I`m really excited about this whole collodion stuff and the possibilities of it.
I hope we stay in contact and start planning the second Vienna Workshop as soon as possible!
Thanks again and best regards to the whole Jacobson family ;-)
Stefan

Thank you Stefan. We really enjoyed Vienna and look forward to the next time! You, Reinhard, Fritz and Zoltan all picked up the nuances and techniques of the process quickly. You made some very nice photographs too. I'm looking forward to what you guys will do in the future.Â
Ask Fritz to join the forum and post some image of the work. The plates were very nice. I'll do the same with some of my snaps in the next couple of days. I just got home 15 minutes ago. Time to unwind.Â

I had an excellent time in Wien (Vienna). It was my first time in Austria. It's beautiful and full of history (a lot like most of Europe).
The workshop went very well. Reinhard's studio is great. I've never seen so many wonderful spaces/studios to work in - the Europeans do it right!
Some of the work - my apologies for the snaps... but you get the idea.
He was a popular sitter at the workshop.
A portrait of Reinhard (his studio hosted the event) that I made for my demo.
The sunglasses were Zoltan's trademark...
Reinhard made a great image and got it too hot when drying it.. and... this is kind of cool too. This was a 6 minute exposure with artifical light... Hermagis 12" lens with an f/32 stop.

Some great images - an outstanding one of you too Quinn - too modest to let us see this a little larger?

I agree Carl, they did a great job and we had a lot of fun. Stefan did that portrait of me. I liked it too - Stefan, will you make a post with it? Sorry, I don't have a close shot of it. |

Wow, some uber-cool stuff, there! Is the broken plate a person or a mannequin??

Hi Kerik,Â
That's a mannequin... aka "doll" here in Europe.
