Scott--thanks man!  The weekend was a blur trying to get everything ready, but I was really determined to make it happen.  I've been reading everything over the last few months, including almost every archived post on this forum and Robert Szabo's forum.  I been living with Waldack and Neff, Lea, and Towler--the 19th century texts are great.    I still have some issues to work through, but I have some good ideas on how to improve.  It's humbling to see how good you guys are and the work submitted for WWPD.

Good luck to all! I look forward to seeing the fruits of your efforts!

I'm new here... in the research and development stage (researching the chemistry/technique and developing the funds to get started!), and am very excited for the time when I post the thread, "My First Plate!" In the mean time, I'll keep studying!

The excitement is palpable, even from here! That's wonderful!

That's great Kerik. We're psyched, too. I'm sorry about your friend. He had a heart attack at 48 years-old? That's too bad.

Wow, impressive list! Sarah and I are looking forward to this. It's a little complicated since I am teaching a digital negative/platinum workshop this weekend, but it stays light late enough we should be OK. If not, we'll use the Fotodiox unit.  I am going to be making a tribute image to a good friend from my high school days that passed away unexpectedly a few days ago. His name is Steve Witser and he was one of the world's top classical trombonists.

I'm taking a risk and going out in public to the downtown folk festival.  Try to solicit portraits from passers by.  It's a risk because my shots outside of my home usually turn out crappy (due mostly to my crappy box and high winds).  So perhaps I'll start the day with a nice, calm, still life or two!  I was going to do a demo a the Center for Creative photography, but it never developed....sorry for the pun.

It's been awhile for me.....
I'm not on the list, but I'm gonna give my aged chemicals a run for their money tomorrow.....
Not sure if it will be makeable but I'll see what I can turn out!
Where are you gonna be Matt? I have other things going on tomorrow, but maybe just maybe....

man, am I the only one thats been all amped and excited about this for the last few weeks?
Great feeling to know that even though I'll likely be pouring plates alone somewhere, theres a shitload of other crazy bastards all pouring plates at the same time.

:)
