Do you plan on selling "other items" like dippers, drying racks, that sort of thing in the future? Just curious. On the one hand most people would just build their own, but by the same token being able to get someone setup with everything they could need in one fell swoop might be nice too.

Yes, I plan on adding supplies, equipment and accessories as I move forward. If I know there is a demand, I will move quicker on the items that will sell and leave the others for the end of the build up.

What would people like to see offered and in what quantity?

Thanks!

I am at n odd place in my life where I find myself for the first time with more money than time. That's not entirely true, my time has disappeared more rapidly than my money, but you get the drift. While I used to enjoy searching through hardware stores to find things to make other things with, it just isn't an option anymore.

So I don't know, I guess "everything" would be a good start!

Quinn,

It sounds like several people are after some sort of posing stand/headbrace and may not be willing to purchase the available reproduction for whatever reasons.

Is there a modern alternative and do you have any plans on offering such a piece of equipment?

(Perhaps something with a compact Iridiosmium base and Lexan arms/forks, memory-cell foam pads... <g> )

I've been talking to Mark Z about these as well.

I have a replica I purchased a couple of years ago, and I've had my father take a look at it. He's been a welder for 35 years + and "yard-art" creator. He told me he's coming up with an alternative to the decroative mold (base) and would run something by me in a couple of weeks.

I'll keep you posted.

Quinn,
I'm going to go take some photos of an original probably the first of next
week and I will send you some. It would be great if you could offer them.

I am also interested in getting a head brace/posing stand...I can't even get the Merrittes to return my emails or phone calls, so I'm not sure that their brace is even still available.
Does anyone have any photos/dimensions/weight of a period head brace ? I'm thinking about trying to fashion something with assorted parts/pieces I have on hand....
Quinn, I would definitely be interested in what your father comes up with...I don't care so much about authenticity just functionality (and price :) ....

Thanks,
Greg

I am completely swamped right now, but I'll try to do some DETAILED images of the one I have this weekend and post them.

Mine is suppose to be IDENTICAL to the original, we'll see after Mark comes back from the PHF with his images.
Regards,
Quinn Jacobson

This ebay item would modify well, often a search on cast iron table  or iron base will come up with nice things.  All I can say, I have one of Tims stands and side from my punishment which has broken a few small things, it has done job well.  If you make one, avoid a round base.  http://cgi.ebay.com/Cast-Iron-Table-Type-Base_W0QQitemZ73964 62367QQcategoryZ20087QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Greg,
same here. I never received an email back after 2 or 3 attempts, so I finally
called. From what the lady told me on the phone, they had one left and were
probably not going to make anymore. $375 plus shipping.
