We have filled the Ambrotype, Tintype and Dry Collodion Negative workshop at Fox Talbot Museum, Lacock, England this July ... and also the Wet and Dry Collodion Negative Workshop at George Eastman House, Rochester, NY in September.
There are currently four people on the wait list for the September Wet and Dry Collodion Negaitve Workshop and they have asked if we could schedule another session this year. If there is interest, we will consider scheduling a second wet & dry negative workshop in Rochester on August 6-8th. This would take the place of our albumen workshop which can be rescheduled in the winter since we can use UV light boxes for printing.
This negative workshop will include:
One development negatives [iron+ hypo]
Foundation negatives [iron+ cyanide]
Redevelopment of foundation negatives [pyro citric]
Dry collodion negatives [tannin process]
Retouching [19th century technique]
Salted paper print proofing
Waxing salt prints
Viewing original equipment from George Eastman House vaults
Viewing original prints and plates from George Eastman House vaults
We'll shoot studio work at the Scully & Osterman Skylight Studio and landscapes in the formal gardens at George Eastman House
Interested parties should contact me as soon as possible so that we can do this before people register for the albumen workshop, which has not yet been posted.
