I'm thinking about hosting a World Wet Plate Day in Norman, Okla. on May 1st.  My grad studio has several huge north-facing windows in an old WWII-era building close to I-35.  The space is pretty big and I have an area with a sink that could be used as a darkroom.  Anyone interested?  It would be nice to have some other shooters there.  I'm going to invite some students and others who have been interested in seeing the process.

Here are a few digital images of my wet-plate gathering yesterday.  I will post some plates later on.
I was surprised how many showed up.  I had planned on shooting a bunch, but ended up letting the guests gets their hands blackened instead.

Hey... How cool, I am in Oklahoma too and am thrilled to see that you are developing a community of interested persons.
I plan to get outside and expose some wet plates myself this summer.   I will keep my eyes focused on your group's activities and see if you might have another "event" in the near future.
 Well done.

Hi Chris.  Thanks!
Glad to see another neighbor is doing the process.  Have you shot any plates before?

Not sure I will have another event for awhile, but I hope to shoot quite a bit this summer.  Have you taken a workshop?
